Wendy is an excellent dermatologist in my opinion, and in my experience the best I've been to so far. She is very technical and thorough and has always helped me in the times that I have gone. I would highly recommend her! There is also an old 1 star review about her office being in a basement, and unless this changed, her office is in a very nice avenues-style building on the first floor, not a basement.

Good Dr., office staff was a problem. Had a $10 co pay. Thought I had paid it. Office person called me and after I a short argument I agreed to pay. She wouldn't let it go at that and kept being verbally rude. I told her off for being a jerk. Went in and paid rather than take a hit to my credit rating. They have you over a barrel. Got dropped from the practice. Classic. Plenty of other Dr's in the sea. They lose the money. I find another Dr. Not the first time a Dr's office staff has been really snotty. I just find someone who hires better people. Too bad all the way around. Over $10.

We have been seeing Dr. Matis for many, many years and the quality of her care has been consistent and superb. You will not find a more professional, dedicated, well-trained provider. She answers her cell on her days off and she works patients in when there are concerns. Her wait times are short. She listens and teaches while she evaluates and there is always time for all concerns to be addressed. Sometimes she is not taking new patients which keeps her practice manageable for her established patients but usually there are periods during the year when new patient slots open up. It is worth your time and effort to wait for those opportunities to make an appointment.

5 stars to Dr. Matis! After waiting about four months for an appointment, I ended up having to take my toddler and preschooler with me to my appointment today (not my choice!). Refreshingly, Dr. Matis was completely unfazed by their antics and their presence. She was totally patient and understanding as I negotiated snacks and books with the kids while ALSO offering professional service and care to me. I’ve had pediatric providers who are far less sympathetic and caring, so I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you, Dr. Matis!

Dr. Matis and her team are just incredible. The space is calm and clean, and I felt heard. Dr. Matis was also very patient with the many questions I had when I first started seeing her. Thanks to her I have finally started wearing sunscreen! I'm moving soon and am so sad I wont get to see her anymore. Highly recommend 🙂

My experience as a patient here left me feeling deflated and unheard. Dr. Matis immediately began examining my face as she entered the room and called out findings to the scribe before even having any type of conversation (no asking about concerns, history, prior treatments, etc.) She spent less than 5 minutes with me before she and her scribe abruptly stepped out without any further instruction, leaving me awkwardly wondering if I was done with the visit. As someone who also sees patients as a healthcare provider (PA-C), I can say this is an experience I don’t want any patient to have. Will be finding a new provider.

Dr. Matis is an excellent doctor. She listens to questions and responds with clear, thorough answers. She takes adequate time with patients. The people working in the office are competent and friendly. The physical space is warm and inviting. I never experienced significant wait times.
